These tweets of his did a lot of damage and his pending issue with the officials once again came to limelight. If you don’t know the issue, let us give you a brief of the same.
On the 23rd of June, a complaint was lodged by the civic body under the MRTP Act 1966, stating Kapil Sharma didn’t comply to the notice sent by them, with regards to unauthorized construction of his Goregaon flat. Yes, he has a flat on DLH Enclave’s 9th floor and lot of unauthorized work was going on, including podium, common passage, voids, ducts and elevation features.
Since the civic body got no response on the 1st notice, it issued a 2nd notice saying Kapil hasn’t resolved the issue nor has he submitted a proper reply. Now the police has given assurance to the body that an FIR would be filed against Kapil after end of Ganeshotsav.
The comedian has been receiving a lot of criticism from everyone with regards to his double standards.
Samajwadi Party Leader in BMC, Rais Shaikh stated that strict action should be taken against Kapil Sharma for his unauthorized property. Moreover, they have plans of raising this issue on all BMC forums.
On the other hand, Kapil Sharma has given clarifications that he had no hard feelings against anyone and that he just expressed a common concern.
He further adds
“I have utmost respect for the honourable Prime Minister and the government, both Union and state, its agencies and statutory bodies. I am a law-abiding citizen and shall act as legally advised. This was my anger against corruption which I expressed on Twitter.“
