Alia Bhatt is one of the most loved young actresses of Bollywood and the first break that she got in B-Town was by Karan Johar in 2012 for “Student of the Year”.
Karan Johar is known for launching star kids but it doesn’t mean that it was easy for Alia to make career in the film industry despite the fact that she belongs to a family which has the history of giving some amazing Hindi movies to the industry and audiences.
Recently, Karan Johar disclosed on radio how he bodyshamed Alia once upon a time; however it was unintentional. KJo was made to apologise for his behaviour when he was answering questions of callers on radio. One caller brought up the issue and Karan admitted the mistake that he made 6 years ago.
Here’s what he said,
“I asked Alia to lose weight and now, when I see her hysterical about how she looks, I feel responsible.”
He further adds,
“She’s in the gym every day and even if she puts on an extra kilo, she goes crazy. I think I am to blame for it. Now that I am a parent, I would never do this to Roohi and I would like to apologise to Alia.”
Not only Alia but Karan was also a bit plump in his younger days. He also talked about how he felt low and depressed because of his being over-weight and what he went through because of his weight.
