Cricket nights in Mumbai are always full of energy but this time, it wasn’t just the match that people were talking about. A brief moment involving Kareena Kapoor Khan at the stadium ended up going viral.
Kareena Kapoor Khan was at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Sunday to watch the IPL 2026 clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. She was joined by her husband Saif Ali Khan, their sons Taimur and Jeh, and Saif’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan. The family was seen enjoying the match, dressed in Mumbai Indians jerseys and soaking in the lively atmosphere.
Most videos from the evening showed a happy and relaxed vibe. However, one particular clip quickly caught attention online. In the video, the family is seen waiting near a lift inside the stadium when a crowd gathers around them. Fans tried to take pictures, leading to a brief moment of chaos.
Amid the crowd, the actress appeared uncomfortable and slightly tense. She seemed to have a short exchange with someone nearby, though it remains unclear who the person was or what exactly happened. At one point, she turned to Saif and asked what was going on, clearly surprised by the situation. Soon after, the family entered the lift and things calmed down.

Despite this brief incident, the rest of the evening went smoothly. Later visuals showed Kareena back in the stands, smiling and enjoying the match with her family, as if nothing had happened.
On the field, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Mumbai Indians by 18 runs in an exciting contest, adding to the night’s buzz.
Away from cricket, Kareena has been busy with her film projects. She recently completed shooting for Daayra, an investigative crime drama directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and is backed by Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios. Expected to release in 2026, the story revolves around a disturbing incident that triggers strong reactions and raises questions about justice and truth. The film is currently in post-production.
Kareena was last seen in Crew which also featured Tabu and Kriti Sanon and received a positive response. She also appeared in The Buckingham Murders.
While the match had its own highlights, it was this unexpected moment that got everyone talking.
