KKR & DK Slam Haters For Targeting Maxwell & Dan Christian Along With His Pregnant Partner

Royal Challengers Bangalore once again failed in winning the IPL as it got eliminated from the tournament after getting defeated by Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator. Virat Kohli-led RCB was performing well in the IPL 2021 but its dream of winning the first ever IPL trophy didn’t get fulfilled and fans of Kohli are more disappointed for the fact that it was the last IPL of Virat as the skipper.

KKR & DK Slam Haters For Targeting Maxwell & Dan Christian Along With His Pregnant Partner - RVCJ Media

Winning and losing are the part and parcel of the game but some fans really lost their nerves after RCB got defeated in the knock-out match and they started targeting the RCB players, especially Glenn Maxwell and Daniel Christian on the social media networks. What was more shocking was that some toxic fans even targeted the pregnant partner of Daniel Christian.

While Daniel Christian asked the angry fans to keep his partner out of it, Glenn Maxwell slammed the trollers mercilessly and asked them to be a decent person instead of spreading hate.

Maxwell also didn’t forget to thank the real fans who stood behind the team even after the defeat and he asked them never to be like those terrible people who are making social media a horrible place.

Glenn Maxwell is the highest run scorer for RCB in this season with 513 runs but he failed to perform in the Eliminator with both bat and ball. Dan Christian didn’t have a good season as he scored 14 runs in nine matches and as far as his bowling is concerned, he took 4 wickets in the whole season. However, Dan Christian and his partner were targeted mainly because of the three sixes that KKR cricketer Sunil Narine smashed on the bowling of Dan and it increased the chances of KKR’s victory.

Now, KKR has extended its support to Glenn Maxwell and Dan Christian against hate-mongering and they have posted a video on the micro-blogging site Twitter with the caption, “Say NO to hate-mongering. Cricketers are subjected to online-abuse way too often. It’s high time we take a strong stand against it. Victories and Losses are a part of any sport. We stand by you @RCBTweets @danchristian54 @Gmaxi_32. We’ve been there too”.

In the video, Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik asks people to be kind towards the players even if they are not able to perform on any given day.

Earlier, RCB also stood with its players and asked fans to be fans and not fanatics.

Online abuse is certainly not acceptable and some strict measures should be taken against these trollers. What is your opinion in this regard? Share with us.
