The Indian cricketers are leaving no stone unturned in reaching out to their fans and followers and asking them to follow the instructions given by the government and medical authorities to save them from lethal coronavirus. As of now, the number of infected persons in India is more than 3,000 while the number of lives lost is close to 80. The country is under complete lockdown till April 14 and PM Modi is also addressing the nation regularly, asking the citizens to remain strong and support the government in coming out of this critical situation.
Recently, the Indian Prime Minister asked everyone to switch off the lights of their houses and come out or in balcony on April 5 at 9pm and illuminate the surroundings by lighting diyas, candles or by using flash lights of their smartphones or torches for 9 minutes. He urges every citizen to do this for showing support to the corona warriors.
The Indian skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma have also urged their fans to support the initiative taken by PM Modi. In a tweet, Virat Kohli writes that the spirit of India is in its citizens, let us show the world that we are united and let us also support our health warriors.
Virat’s tweet read,
“The power of the stadium is in its fans.
The spirit of India is in its people.
Tonight 9pm for 9min
Let’s show the world, we stand as ONE.
Let’s show our Health Warriors,
We stand behind them.
