Many Indian celebrities also joined the government last year in order to educate people about COVID-19 and requested them to follow the safety guidelines such as remaining indoors, going out only if very necessary, wearing mask, maintaining social distancing whenever out of house, washing hands regularly, using sanitizers, etc. The legendary Indian cricketer Bharat Ratna Awardee Sachin Tendulkar was also one of those celebrities but recently he informed through his social media account that he had been tested COVID-19 positive and asked everyone who came in contact with him in the recent past to get tested.

Sachin Tendulkar tweeted that though he tried his best to keep COVID-19 away by following all the precautions and getting himself tested, he had been tested positive with mild symptoms. He has also informed that his family members have tested negative and he has self-isolated himself at home.

Soon people started wishing him a speedy recovery but few hours after Sachin’s announcement, the former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen made a tweet which gave an impression as if he was taking a jibe at Little Master. In his tweet, KP asks whether anyone can tell him the need to tell the world that the person is COVID positive.

KP’s tweet read, “Can someone please tell me, why you need to announce it to the world, that you have Covid?!”

The tweet was noticed by many but the former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh chose to reply and he asked KP why he thought of it today and not before.

In another tweet, Yuvi wrote, “Haha just pulling you leg bud ! 😘”

However later KP made another tweet and wrote that he just got to know about Sachin getting positive and wished Master Blaster a speedy recovery.

KP tweeted, “Just seen Sachin has it! Oops! Sorry @sachin, get better soon buddy!”
