Due to a technical glitch, GPay credited the bank accounts of its few customers based in USA and an online user Mishaal Rahman posted about it on the micro-blogging site Twitter as he wrote, “Uhhh, Google Pay seems to just be randomly giving users free money right now. I just opened Google Pay and saw that I have $46 in ‘rewards’ that I got ‘for dogfooding the Google Pay Remittance experience.’ What.”

The term “Dogfooding” is used for the testing of a new feature which is done by staff members before that feature is made available to the public.

The redditors also started talking about this technical glitch and a redditor even shared that he got an email from Google Pay which stated that he received the email because an unintended cash credit has taken place in his bank account, the credit has been reversed where it was possible and where it is not possible, the money can be kept by the user as no further action will be taken.

Soon Twitter CEO Elon Musk also reacted on the matter as he tweeted, “Noice”.
