Made In India, Not For India : Indian Army Short Of Bullet Proof Jackets & Basic Amenities - RVCJ Media

Lets face it our Government literally pays peanuts to the one who deserves and rather spend on luxury and other stuffs which otherwise can be adjusted. The prime example of such a case is our Indian Army who are the supreme protector of the country but have never complained on the shortage of basic amenities as well, that’s the sacrifice they do for us, but what we or the government do – NOTHING!

In a shocking calculation of data and analysis of report has, it is been shown that the Indian Cops and Defense have an acute shortage of Bullet proof jackets and helmets. In the recent attack in Gurdaspur police station, it was the courage of the policemen who stopped a big terrorist attack, but is courage enough to save them. The fact that the cops are not guarded and provided with bullet proof vest and helmets is a shame, compare to the fact that India exports it to more than 230 forces in over 100 countries but Indian Arm forces is kept on alms.

It has been 14 years after the attack on Parliament and trust us nothing has changed majorly. During that attack very few policemen had bullet proof jackets and more interestingly the police force was wearing, cricket helmets which we are sure is not sufficient to save from the attack of a ball let alone bullets shoot. According to some data, India’s police force requires at least 50,000 bullet proof kits, but since the law and order is divided state wise, they raise their requirement only during quoting tenders and not on emergency basis. It is an irony that India that promotes “Make in India” is not equipped enough to provide its own men with basic amenity.

What we don’t understand even after 69 years of Independence is why the government, be it the preceding or the present ruling party, very less has been done for the ones who protect us, don’t they understand the urgency . The query may never get answered, but what’s the harm in raising a question.
