The day is not far behind when Flipkart will actually become a spoof website where people will order for some gadgets but will wait what its turns out when it gets delivered. MAGIC.
Actually going by the number of times Flipkart has made blunders, this aptly fits their future course of action.
This time they went the way South in Telangana, where Chiluveri Srucharan, a resident of Jagtial ordered a Asus phone, Zenfone 5 using his credit card for worth Rs.8099. The Mega Online shopping saled conducted by Flipakrt has seen so many faux pas, but this one has to the major one. Chiluveri ordered the smart phone May 26, the Mega Sale Day by Flipkart, and his order number was OD002947033911410000.
But after 14 days when the order was delivered by FedEx on June 8, at 11 am ,Chiluveri Srucharan was stunned on seeing what was packed inside the box. The box contained 2 Pcs of King of Fruit – Mangoes. Srucharan who is an engineer immediately contacted the Customer Care of Flipkart and informed about the wrong delivery.
“I was informed that the amount will be refunded within 24 hours,” he said.
But unfortunately, his refund did not show up in his account, miffed with the irresponsibility on the part of such a big e-commerce portal – he called up the Customer Care again to inquire about the refund or the replacement which ever they have opted for.
Flipkart told him: “We would like to inform you that your recent replacement order has been cancelled as we have noticed an unwarranted return, which do not comply with our Returns Policy.”
“I have been getting varied answers whenever I complain about the wrong delivery. In a mail sent by representatives of the e-commerce company, they even threatened to block my order if I took this issue to the social media. I am planning to take help of a consumer forum if this problem is not addressed soon,” said Mr Srucharan.
Look at the audacity of the representative who ever revert him back. Truly, Flipkart should take this matter seriously.
