Meet Aryaman Birla, The Son Of Multi-Millionaire Father, Who Was Taken In RR For 30 Lakhs

IPL auction 2018 was held in Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday and it introduced us to many new players. Around 500 players had attended the event and every IPL owner bid for the strongest of players.

Many teams preferred retaining old players as they didn’t want to take risk, but there were many who tried some newbies. One of them is Aryaman Birla.

Yes, he belongs to the family of Birlas, the multi-millionaires, but he still preferred to prove his skills on the cricket ground rather than flaunting his image on his father’s money.

In no time, Aryaman Birla became the talk of one and all. Well, his father is a billionaire and no one had expected to see him sweating it out on the ground. On Day 1, he was unsold, but luckily, he got an entry in Rajasthan Royals team on Day 2 and that too for just 30 lakhs.

Now, when we do the comparison, we can see a HUGE difference between the father-son duo. His father Kumar Mangalam Birla is a renowned industrialist and has a net worth of a whopping $12.6 billion i.e. around 80 thousand crores. His father is the chairman of Aditya Birla group and is indeed a Big MAN.

Who knew that the son of such a leading industrialist will be ready to join the team and display his passion for a small amount i.e. just 30 lakhs.

In an interview, he said,

“I’ve played cricket my entire life. I was eight, maybe nine-years-old when I started playing. I played a lot of sports when I was a kid, but cricket was the one that stood out for me. There was no definite moment when I realized I wanted to pursue it as my career. It was a natural progression from it being a hobby to now playing it professionally.”

Some more details!

Aryaman moved to MP to pursue his passion CRICKET. He doesn’t have much experience as other cricketers do, but he definitely believes in himself. He played just 1 match in which he represented MP against Odisha. This match was played in Indore last year in November and Aryaman had scored 153 runs in the same.

He sacrificed comfort for his passion

As we mentioned above, he comes from an affluent family and he could have easily chosen a luxurious life for himself; moreover, he also holds the position of a chancellor at Birla Institute of Technology and Science.

Aryman doesn’t need to do anything because he has everything, property, cars, money but still, he chose the harder way and we appreciate him for the same.
