A lot has been happening in Karnataka for past few days after election results were out. No party got majority and while BJP emerged as single largest party, Congress announced its support to JDS if it forms government. The governor called BJP to form government and BS Yeddyurappa took oath as the CM of the state.
H. D. Kumaraswamy to take the CM’s oath on May 21:
Congress and JDS took the legal route and court ordered the government to prove its majority in the house on 19th May. The latest news is that Yeddyurappa has resigned because he didn’t have the required number of MLAs with him and Kumaraswamy (58) of JDS will take oath of the CM on May 21.
Radhika Kumaraswamy trended on Google:
Amidst this all, H. D. Kumaraswamy’s wife Radhika Kumaraswamy started trending on Google. Well, many people don’t know that Radhika is a well-known face of the Kannada film industry. She’s an actor and producer by profession and as per Times Of India, she tied knot with H. D. Kumaraswamy in the year 2006 and the couple is blessed with a daughter named Shamika K. Swamy.

In 2002, she made her debut in the Kannada film industry with “Neela Megha Shyama” just after passing the 9th standard. In 2000, she got married to Ratan Kumar at the age of 14 only. Her parents opposed this marriage and while her mother was of the opinion that Ratan compelled her for wedding, her father said that Ratan made an attempting of burning her alive. Unfortunately, their married worked only for 2 years as Ratan suffered a heart attack and passed away in 2002. The 31 years old actress has acted in over 30 movies and has even produced few flicks.
H. D. Kumaraswamy’s personal life:
H. D. Kumaraswamy is the son of former Indian Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda. Just like his political life, his personal life is also interesting. Few years ago, when news of secret marriage of H. D. Kumaraswamy with Radhika went viral, no one believed it firstly. It so happened that in 2016, Congress leader and actress Ramya made the revelation of Kumaraswamy’s secret marriage with Radhika and their girl child.
It’s the second marriage of both:
While Radhika was previously married to Ratan Kumar, the name of H. D. Kumaraswamy’s first wife is Anitha and he also has a son named Nikhil with his first marriage. It’s said that Kumaraswamy tied knot with Radhika without divorcing his first wife and this gave rise to controversy as a Hindu man doesn’t have right of the second marriage until he takes divorce from his first wife. As per reports, PIL was filed in the Karnataka high court for violating Hindu Personal Law; however, due to the lack of evidence, the court allegedly cancelled the case.
