What was meant to be a celebratory sports event has now taken a disturbing turn. A Kannada television actress has alleged that she was secretly filmed inside a stadium washroom during the recent Celebrity Women Cricket Tournament.

According to reports, the actress, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a police complaint claiming she was later threatened with the video being circulated online if she did not pay money.
In her complaint, she stated that she attended the three-day event held at Koramangala Indoor Stadium. The alleged incident took place on February 7, the second day of the tournament. She told police that while using the women’s restroom inside the stadium, an unknown person secretly recorded an inappropriate video of her without her knowledge or consent.
The FIR further mentions that the video was allegedly sent from an Instagram account to her friend’s account, apparently under the mistaken belief that it belonged to the actress herself. After sending the clip, the accused allegedly began threatening that the video would be shared widely on social media if money was not paid.

The complaint also states that the accused continued to intimidate by threatening to release more private content and demanding money, effectively blackmailing her and her friend.
Based on her statement, a case has been registered at the Cyber Crime Police Station under relevant sections of the IT Act, including charges related to voyeurism, criminal intimidation and extortion. Police have begun an investigation and further details are awaited.
