Despite this, we are and will always be proud of the girl from Chennai who also won the Miss The Great Pageant Community (TGPC) South in the year 2017.

Shraddha participated in the Miss Universe 2017 on 26th November in Las Vegas. This is the first time in 39 years that a South African beauty has won the crown, defeating the participants from 92 nations. Miss Jamaica was the second runner-up while Miss Colombia was the first runner-up.

Shraddha completed her schooling from Army Public School, Nashik, and after that, she did a course in mass media from Sophia College for Women, Mumbai.

The final question which was asked by the finalists was,

“What quality in yourself are you most proud of and how will make you apply that to your time as Miss Universe?”

This is what first runner-up, Miss Colombia Laura Gonzalez, replied,

“I am incredibly passionate about everything I do. I put my full self in every situation. I have done this as an actress, as Miss Colombia and will now do the same if I win Miss Universe.”

This is the answer given by the second runner-up, Miss Jamaica Davina Bennet,

“It is my drive and determination. I am part of a foundation that helps deaf people. This platform will be a great platform to help people.”

The winner Miss South Africa said,

“You have to be confident in who you are as an individual. Miss Universe is one who has overcome many fears and will inspire other women too, to overcome their fears.”

Congratulations to the winner and we are proud of you, Shraddha!
