The former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq got slammed left and right after he made a derogatory remark about Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in an event while talking about the poor performance of the Pakistani cricket team in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
The two other former Pak cricketers Shahid Afridi and Umar Gul were also slammed as they were sitting beside Abdul Razzaq and they were seen laughing and clapping after Abdul Razzaq made that statement.
Not only the Indian media and social media users were aggravated with this cheap comment but Pakistani media and online users also left no stone unturned in trolling and slamming these former Pakistani cricketers, especially Abdul Razzaq and it eventually brought results as Shahid Afridi came forward and accepted that Razzaq made a mistake. Shahid Afridi saved himself by saying that as everyone over there was laughing after hearing Abdul Razzaq, he also laughed but when he returned home, he saw the clip which was sent to him by someone and then he realized that taking Aishwarya’s name was not right.
Here is the video in which you can see Shahid Afridi saving himself by acting innocent:

Well, the uproar was too much to handle for Abdul Razzaq and he chose to issue an apology to calm down the storm, he posted a video on social media in which he said that he had a slip of tongue and he apologized for taking Aishwarya’s name. He added that he wanted to explain his point by giving an example but he ended up giving a wrong example.
