This Movie Has Better & More Real VFX Effects Than BAAHUBALI

Baahubali has just stormed the Box Office, whether it’s the south Indian cinema halls or the cinema halls in the Hindi belt. Visual Effects and Computer Graphics Imagery (CGI) played a very important role in the success of Baahubali and everybody whether the fans or the film makers, everyone is amazed at the visual treat that Baahubali offered. However, one Tamil movie can leave Baahubali behind in terms of CGI and visual effects. We are talking about “PULI”, which stars Vijay with Hansika Motwani, Shruti Haasan, Sudeep and after a long time we are going to see Sridevi on-screen in this movie.

As reported in The New Indian Express, the number of scenes generated by CGI will be more in Puli than Baahubali. CG Head of Puli, RC Kamalakannan told to the newspaper, “When Chimbudevan and I initially designed the film, they wanted to incorporate 2,600 scenes with graphics. But, due to budget issues the initially planned 2,600 scenes with CGI effects were brought down to 2,400.”

Even after decreasing the number of scenes generated by CGI in Puli, the count is still higher than SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. RC Kamalakannan has worked with SS Rajamouli earlier in Naan E and Magadheera, he further said, “When we (SS Rajamouli and Kamalakannan) worked on Naan Ee, there were 1,200 scenes and in Magadheera, there were 1,600. So, out of curiosity, I asked Rajamouli how many scenes they had done in CG in Baahubali and he said that it was just about 2,000.”

When asked whether they needed to modify their plans after the success of Baahubali, he said, “Yes, there were so many parts of Baahubali where you knew that it was done with graphics. That sort of defeats the purpose because we don’t want people to know which is which. Entire forests, armies, castles and wars may be done with CG but people should think it’s real. We’re trying to make sure people can’t spot the differences in Puli.”
