Namaste England’s Poster Got Slammed For Showing Distorted Map Of India; Makers Forced To Change It

Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra will be seen together once again in movie “Namaste England” that is slated to release on Dussehra this year. Earlier we have seen them in “Ishaqzaade” that was the debut film of Arjun Kapoor and the second flick of Parineeti’s career.

The posters of Namaste England were released a couple of days ago and the makers got trolled because of an error that they made in one of the posters. Have a look at this poster:

If you observe, the poster shows distorted map of India in which the Aksai Chin region of Jammu & Kashmir is missing.

This region is in dispute between India and China since 1962 and it is India’s land, illegally occupied by China.

Distorting the national map is a violation of Nation Map Policy (2005) and it is a criminal act under the Criminal Law Amendment Act, 1961.

This is how Twitter slammed the makers for showing the distorted map of India:

The makers didn’t give any statement but they realised their mistake and rectified it. A new poster with the correct map of India was released and it was shared by the actor Arjun Kapoor himself.

Arjun took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and shared the new poster with caption, “This Dussehra, love will have no boundaries! #NamasteEnglandPoster”

Here is another poster of the movie:

The good thing is that the matter has been handled quickly. What do you say?
