Nasser Hussain Warns Joe Root To Be Beware Of Jasprit Bumrah, Makes A Strong Comment About Bazball

Are you listening Joe Root?

Joe Root, the England cricketer, has the reputation of being one of the best technically equipped batters of the world and he is also known for playing big innings in the sub-continent conditions but in the first two test matches of the 5-match series, he hasn’t been able to make any impact with the bat.

Till now, Joe Root has scored 29, 2, 5 and 16 runs in the four innings of the first two test matches and in these four innings, Jasprit Bumrah has dismissed Joe Root three times which clearly shows that the Indian pacer is having an upper hand in the contest.

The former England cricketer Nasser Hussain wrote a column for a news daily in which he issued a warning for Joe Root and asked him to be careful of Jasprit Bumrah.

Nasser Hussain writes that whenever a bowler gets better of the batter, it is not just a technical thing but mental as well and we all know that at least in the next six innings, Joe Root will face Jasprit Bumrah until the Indian pacer gets injured or there is a problem in Joe Root’s finger. Hussain writes that Joe Root has always found a way to deal with the biggest challenges and currently Jasprit Bumrah is his biggest challenge.

The former England skipper further writes that as the test series progresses, individual battles get created and he is sure that whenever Joe Root will come to bat, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma will bring Jasprit Bumrah to bowl, especially if the ball is reverse swinging and Joe Root would have no idea as to which side the ball will go.

Nasser Hussain further writes that if Joe Root keeps struggling, then a narrative will be formed as per which Bazball is not working for him but the statistics say something else. Hussain adds that Root’s numbers are better in the Bazball period in comparison to earlier period as previously his batting average was 49.19 runs in 117 test matches and in the last 20 test matches, his batting average is 52.63 runs.

The third test match will be played at Rajkot from 15 Feb and the England team has flown to Abu Dhabi in order to spend some quality time with their family members.
