The winter season is in full swing in India especially in the northern India and many parts of the Indian states – Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Ladakh are experiencing severe cold waves. What makes it more difficult for the citizens of these regions is the fact that the cold winds are blowing at the rate of 15Kmph for the past few days and temperature has gone down below freezing point in many areas.

As per the forecast given by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), severe cold will be experienced in many parts of the northwest India. A senior scientist of IMD stated that from Tuesday night, the minimum temperature might go up as the northwesterly winds would start slowing down.

While it was difficult for people to stay outside in cold wave, they tried to keep themselves entertained by posting memes and jokes. Some netizens shed light on how to prepare for cold wave whereas several others talked about those who take bath with cold water in such weather.
