While boarding a bus for sightseeing, did you ever wish for some wine to accompany you? Yes, this would soon be true in Mumbai. Soon, a tour service is going to be launched by Maharashtra Government in Mumbai where travelers and tourists will get wine in open air buses. Musical entertainment would also be there.
As per reports, it is said that this service is going to be launched by BEST and MTDC. This idea is taken from the London’s Ho-Ho tour which enables tourists to go to city’s important destinations. This proposed service would allow tourists to spend as much time as they need at a particular location and then catch the bus every 30 minutes. This bus service would be running all throughout the day.
You would get wine on your journey!
Paraag Jain Nainuttiya, the MD of MTDC stated that they are applying for wine and not hard liquor. He further stated that since the state is among the largest wine producers in India, the manufacturing prowess needs to be showcased and famous delicacies have to be marketed by offering snacks. This would be done strictly as per law.
The plan would be made long time back, but would soon be implemented, as per Jagdish Patil, the general manager of BEST. He also told that the AC would work in good condition and bus would be neat. If needed, the buses would be painted by MTDC and would be promoted exclusively.
Initially, 5-6 AC buses would be run and eventually MTDC would introduce more 11 buses.
