NIT-Patna Student Bagged The Highest Offer Of Rs 39.5 Lakh From Adobe

Getting a good job is a dream of every student and Medha Kumari is no exception to it. The 20-yr student of National Institute of Technology Patna (NIT-P) has created history by securing the highest package by any student of the institute during placements till date.

Adobe Systems India Private Limited has offered an annual pay package of Rs 39.5 lakh to Medha during the 2017 placements.

As per a report published in TOI, 40 students took an online test which was conducted by Adobe. After the online test, a technical test and an interview were taken by the company in Kolkata in October first week. Medha was the only one who got through all the tests and got the job.

The training and placement in-charge of NIT-P, Samrat Mukherjee, said,

“This is the highest pay package for an NIT-Patna student. Adobe has selected our student for the first time. The second highest package was offered by Amazon, in which five students were picked. Last year, six students were offered job by this e-commerce company with an annual pay package of Rs 27.5 lakh each.”

Earlier also Medha was selected by a company but they were paying her only Rs 8.75 lakh per annum. Medha felt that she can get a better a job offer and here’s what she told,

“Since I was expecting better pay package, I started preparing for the placement once again and it worked. The interview was quite tough but I was confident.”

Medha is daughter of Manoj Kumar Karak and Benu Karak; her father is a small time trader while her mother is a housewife.

Medha will be joining the company’s headquarters in Noida from June 2018 where she will be handling software development, implementation and coding.

Samrat Mukherjee further said,

“Of the 300 eligible students, 184 have been placed in various companies. We are hoping that the institute will achieve 100 per cent placement this season. The improvement is largely because of the students’ merit and the teachers’ contribution.”
