23-year old champion wrestler Sakshi Malik won the hearts of all Indians with her brilliant performance at the Rio Olympics 2016. Her medal win was something which India had been waiting for since long.
Sakshi’s parents were out of words seeing their daughter’s mind-blowing performance. Haryana Government has promised Sakshi a job as well as a whopping sum of Rs 2.5 crores.
The way she turned the scoreline from 0-5 to 8.5 was amazing and worth a watch. Twitter handles were filled with praises for her.
Amidst all this there is a Pakistani journalist Omar R Quraishi who took a dig at Sakshi Malik on her bronze medal win through his series of tweets!
He mocked Sakshi!
Finally one of the 119 competitors that India sent to Rio has won a medal – a bronze – now see how they portray it as if they won 20 golds

Tch Tch Tch!
For a population of over 1.25 billion India managed just one bronze medal – Norway with 5 million managed 2 — tch tch tch

He went on!
My TL would suggest that may Indians on Twitter are quite intolerant of criticism – one bronze for 1.25 billion people is valid criticism

Now seeing these tweets, Amitabh Bachchan became quite furious and shut his mouth with just one tweet of his!
Big B says!
For me it is worth a 1000 golds and even that is not enough. Pride for Sakshi, proud that she is Indian and a woman https://t.co/io5JyaMTUP
— Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) August 18, 2016
Omar Quraishi once again replied to this tweet, this time mocking Big B.
Moral of the story!
Moral of the story is that it takes a teeli tweet for Amitabh Bachchan to respond to you if you are from Pakistan https://t.co/5JiBwd6S8Y

It seems Omar just can’t stop!
Note to fellow Pakistani Twitterati: Critique India's performance at the Olympics & the Great Bachchan will respond pic.twitter.com/5EdjMFZCMY

Amitabh didn’t reply further. He might have thought that it is better to ignore such people rather than entertaining these demoralizing tweets. So guys, what is your opinion on this? Do let us know in our comments section below.
