“Par Hamare Bowlers 150+ Fekte Hain,” Pak Pacers Trolled As A Stat Exposes Lack Of Quality

The Pakistan Cricket is known for producing some really great pacers such as Imran Khan, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Akhtar, etc. and even today they boast of having some really good fast bowlers such as Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, etc. but still they are not able to perform well in the recent times and that too at their home turf.

Current scenario

International cricket has returned to Pakistan after a long time; presently the Pakistani team is playing its first test match of the 3-match test series against New Zealand at National Stadium Karachi and most probably, the match will end in a draw.

Test series against Australia

Before hosting the Kiwis, Pakistan hosted England and prior to that, it played a test series against Australia. Pakistan lost the 3-match test series against Australia by 0-1 as the first two matches ended in a draw and the third one was won by the visitors. In this series, Pakistani bowlers conceded more than 1500 runs which is certainly disappointing considering the fact that they bragged about having world class bowlers.

Test series against England

After hosting the Aussies, Pakistan hosted England and this 3-match test series was no less than a nightmare as the visitors whitewashed the series by 3-0 and the Pakistani team and PCB got slammed heavily by fans. Though Pak spinners seemed to be troubling the English batters, the pacers failed in making any impact in the whole series.

Failure of bowlers against the Kiwis

If we talk about the performance of Pakistani bowlers especially against the Kiwis in the first test match, then disappointing is the word as the visitors managed to make a huge score of 612/9 in their first innings. Pak spinners Abrar Ahmed and Nauman Ali shared 8 wickets between themselves as the pacers once again performed pretty badly.

Stats shared by a Pakistani analyst:

Many times we have heard former Pak cricketers talking about their fast bowlers and their superb bowling but in the series against Australia and England, Pakistan’s pace bowling got exposed. Recently a Pakistani analyst shared  some stats regarding Pakistan pacers and it is quite shocking to be honest.

As per the stats, in the last 3 test matches, the Pakistan pacers have managed to take one wicket in 77.4 overs at an average of 320.00. The analyst shared the tweet with the caption, “This is not good”.

This was a great opportunity for the Indian online users to troll Pakistani bowlers, especially because they are known for producing pacers who bowl at a speed of 140-150 km/hr. While some Pak online users blamed the pitches for losing the last 4 test matches, few said that there were fitness issues as many cricketers are suited for white ball cricket only.
