This Friday’s Box Office release is Parmanu. The John Abraham and Diana Penty starrer film talks about India’s secret nuclear test and how much passion and courage went in making it successful.
The story is about making an extremely hard and almost impossible plan successful. Ashwat Rana (John Abraham) has a full proof plan for the nuclear tests but he it gets ignored by the ministers. They execute the plan without his involvement and it ends up failing.
Years later, broken Ashwat gets another chance of executing his plan and making it successful. Ashwat takes the things in his hands and along with his team sets on a mission to complete the nuclear test without coming in the sight of US.
Screenplay has been well crafted by the writers i.e Saiwyn Quadras and Sanyuktha Chawla Sheikh which keeps you on the edge of the seat. It makes you feel the patriotism and at the same time keeps you entertained with various laughter and emotional scenes.
Of course, the film looks dragged at places as there are some scenes which could’ve been edited out. But still it’s a winner all the way because it keeps the audience hooked.
Performances and Direction
John Abraham has given a very good performance and has shined in the role of Ashwat Rana. He has brought a lot of efforts to his performance and deserves kudos for it. Diana Penty has given yet another good performance. She is impressive especially in the climax scene. Boman Irani is effective.
Abhishek Sharma has impressed with his direction. He has brought some strong performances and has made a film that will leave everyone satisfied. Background Music is stunning.
Overall, Parmanu is a must watch film this weekend. You can’t miss out this effective patriotic thriller for anything.
