Paul Walker’s Daughter Set To Fight A Legal Battle Against Porsche For Wrongful Death - RVCJ Media

Meadow Walker, a 16 year old teenage daughter of actor Paul Walker is up against the car company Porshe, a wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against the company by her, claiming that if the Porshe had set up appropriate safety attributes in the car in which her father was during the accident, he would have been alive today.

Actor Paul Walker died in an accident while he was travelling with his friend Roger Rodas, who was driving Porshe Carrera GT. Meadow’s lawyers claim in the lawsuit (as obtained by PEOPLE) that the car “lacked safety features … that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash.”

Meadow’s lawyers alleged that Porshe despite “knowing that the Carrera GT had a history of instability and control issues,” the car company “failed to install its electronic stability control system,” which as per them is “specifically designed to protect against the swerving actions inherent in hyper-sensitive vehicles of this type.”

The lawyers also alleged that the “defective” design of seat belt did not let Paul come out of the car before it caught fire.

As per the law suit, the seat belt “snapped Walker’s torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis,” locking him in the car “where he remained alive until the vehicle erupted into flames one minute and twenty seconds later.”

The lawsuit also claims that fire was caused due to faulty “rubber fuel lines,” and if we “absent these defects in the Porsche Carrera GT, Paul Walker would be alive today.”

Neither Paul Walker nor his friend Roger Rodas survived the accident that took place in Santa Clarita, Calif. on Nov. 30, 2013. Roger, who was driving at that time, lost the control on the car which was running at a high speed, between 80-93 MPH, as per the Police.

Lawsuit doesn’t contain the sum of compensation that Paul’s daughter is looking for.

Meadow’s lawyer Jeff Milam told PEOPLE “It is with great reluctance that Meadow Walker has authorized the filing of this lawsuit on her own behalf and as heir to Paul Walker’s estate. She’s a teenage girl who is still dealing with the tragic loss of her father. She values her privacy and won’t be making any comment. We ask everyone to respect that.”

He also added, “The Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It doesn’t belong on the street. And we shouldn’t be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas.”
