Rahul Gandhi’s Take On Demonetization! This Is How He & His Party Slammed PM Modi

There has been just a week ever since Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetization after which Indian currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 turned out to be useless and a couple of days when Rahul Gandhi, the vice-president of Congress, himself was seen in queue as a common man for withdrawing money, he criticized Modi for the “knee-jerk” reaction for fighting corruption and black money.

He interacted with media and raised a question on the step of demonetization taken up by Modi Govt., calling it “one man’s thinking”. Not only this, Rahul pointed the finger at the govt. for offering a secure passageway to Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya.

In his words,

“Decision that was taken was not thought through, it was based on one person’s thinking. The big black money players have been allowed to go scot free by PM. Mallaya and Lalit Modi are sitting abroad.”

In a tone to mock Modi, Rahul added,

“Couple of days back, PM was laughing in his speech, then next day he was crying. He should decide what he wants to do.”

At one fell swoop, he also slammed the PM when he said,

“I’m not like Modi, I won’t comment on his mother.”

As we know that Modi’s 95-yr mother Hiraben visited a Gandhinagar bank in a wheelchair to get cash, Kapil Sibal made the most of this opportunity and said,

“I am very sad. No good son ever wants that his 97-year-old mother has to (face such a situation) and they boast of a 56-inch chest.”

Rashid Alvi, Congress leader, spoke separately with regard to the matter and stated,

“If a son cannot look after his own mother, how can one expects him to look after the people of the country?”
