Rakesh Roshan, the famous movie director who has given many hit films such as “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai”, “Khoon bhari maang”, “Krrish”, “Karan Arjun”, “Kaabil”, etc. recently appeared on a singing reality show in which he made some interesting revelations about his flick “Karan Arjun”.
Rakesh Roshan not only directed but also produced the 1995-released movie which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amrish Puri, Kajol, Mamta Kulkarni and others in important roles.
During the show, Rakesh Roshan revealed that Ajay Devgn was the original choice for the role which was later done by Salman Khan as Ajay wasn’t able to work in the flick due to some reasons.
Rakesh Roshan also told that in the beginning, the name of the film was “Kainaat” and not “Karan Arjun”. The film was a blockbuster and it also won various awards under different categories.
Rakesh Roshan also talked about the debut movie of his son Hrithik Roshan with whom he has also worked in “Koi… Mil Gaya”, “Krrish”, etc. Hrithik Roshan made his debut with “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai”, which got released in the year 2000 and was a big hit on the box-office. Rakesh Roshan said during the singing reality show that Kareena Kapoor Khan was supposed to play the female lead in “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” but she could not do it due to some reasons and the role then went to Ameesha Patel. “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” was registered in the Guinness World Records for winning the most number of awards (92) and Rakesh Roshan also won his first Filmfare Award which he won in the Best Director category.
