Many former cricketers are giving their opinion in regard to which team is stronger and which team has a better chance of winning the Asia Cup. The former Pakistani cricketer Rashid Latif has also expressed his views in this regard; he feels that despite being weak in some sections, Pakistan has a better chance of winning the Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup as well.

During an interview, Rashid Latif says that one concern is that Pakistani batters are a little slow in the powerplay and they also lack power hitter for the death overs. He adds that though they are good in the powerplay yet there is a problem in the phase which starts from 11th over and goes on to 40th over as their spinners have failed in taking wickets whether we talk about Mohammad Nawaz or Shadab Khan.

Rashid Latif further says that India has an advantage in terms of batting as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have the capability of playing big knocks and their strike rate is also better in comparison to Pakistani top batters and India’s bowling is also strong in middle overs.

Rashid Latif goes on to say that Pakistan has a great chance because their pace bowling attack is superb and batting will depend a lot on Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq. He further says that if we take a look at other teams, they are struggling, India is facing struggle in regard to their middle order and Pakistan has a great chance if they give fight and play good cricket.

Rashid Latif is quite correct as Pakistan is a strong team but will they be able to win the Asia Cup and the World Cup? What do you think?
