The veteran Bollywood actress Reena Roy is all set to make a comeback in movies; it is being said that she is reading scripts nowadays and soon she will make an announcement about her comeback project.
Reena Roy made her Bollywood debut in the year 1972 with movie “Zaroorat” and she was just 15 yrs old at that time. By 1976, she was one of the highest paid actresses of the industry after her films – “Kalicharan” and “Nagin” performed superbly on the box-office. In the 1970s and 80s, she was one of the most sought after actresses of the Hindi movie industry and she also gained limelight because of her affair with actor Shatrughan Sinha.
Reena Roy and Shatrughan Sinha got to know each other while working in “Kalicharan” and then they became very good friends. It is being said that they both were in a serious relationship but Shatrughan shocked Reena by marrying Poonam in the year 1981. Though Shatrughan wanted to continue their relationship even after his marriage, Reena Roy wasn’t interested at all and they parted ways.
In 1983, Reena Roy got married to Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan and she took a break from work as she shifted to Pakistan. However, the marriage was short-lived as in 1992, they got divorced after which Reena came back to India and started working once again but this time she mostly got supporting roles.
Recently, she gave an interview in which she answered many questions; one of them was related to Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha who resembles Reena Roy a lot. A lot is being said and discussed about Sonakshi’s resemblance with Reena on the social media platforms but this is the first time that the actress herself has talked about it. She didn’t talk much about it and held destiny responsible for it. For supporting her statement, she gave an example as she said that veteran actor Jeetendra’s mother and her mother used to look like twin sisters.
Reena Roy also said that she was very fond of acting and dancing from childhood, she used to act and dance in front of mirror so much that her mother used to scold her and order her to focus on studies.
