This will be the first appearance of Rohit Sharma after the finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 which India lost to Australia. The first test match between India and South Africa is currently being played at SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium in Centurion and a day before the match, Rohit Sharma attended a press conference and answered various questions.

He also talked about how he and his team moved on after the disappointing loss in the finals. He said that they got a lot of support and encouragement from outside which played an important role in motivating him and his team to get up and start playing cricket.

The Indian team lost the finals but it was unbeatable till the finals and speaking about the World Cup campaign, Rohit Sharma stated that till the final, the manner in which his team played, it was quite obvious that they expected to go an inch further but they couldn’t do it and it was the hard part of all of them. He added that all these years, he and his players worked hard for all that (WC 2023 campaign).

Rohit Sharma also said that there were certain things which they did wrong in the finals, he said that the manner in which they played the first 10 and the last 10 overs was not right and there were few other things which they didn’t do right and those things cost them the trophy but till that time, there were not many things which people can say that we did wrong.

Talking about his recovery from the loss, Rohit Sharma said that it is not easy to cope up with that type of loss but there is so much happening in life and on cricket field as well. He added that it takes time but a person has to move on and look forward.
