Rohit Sharma’s 10 Yrs Old Tweet On Suryakumar Yadav Goes Viral After His Fiery Ton In 3rd T20I - RVCJ Media

There is one young Indian cricketer who has certainly secured his place in the squad for the T20 World Cup and he is none other than Suryakumar Yadav. SKY as his fans call him produced a terrific performance in the third and the final T20I against England as he scored 117 runs in just 55 balls and his innings included 14 fours and 6 sixes. He went to bat when India was reeling at the score of 13/2 after losing Rishabh Pant (1) and Virat Kohli (11) while chasing a huge target of 216.

SKY was bang on target as he tore apart the English bowlers but unfortunately, he didn’t get support from the other side as India kept on losing wickets on a regular basis and no other batsman could even touch the 30 runs mark. When Suryakumar Yadav got out, India’s score was 196/8 and 7 balls were remaining in the innings. The Indian batters could manage only 2 runs after SKY’s dismissal as Chris Jordan dismissed Harshal Patel and Ravi Bishnoi in the last over.

The Indian cricket fans along with former cricketers were all praises for SKY despite the fact that India lost the match and amidst this, a decade old tweet of Rohit Sharma got resurfaced in which he talked about Suryakumar Yadav and tweeted that he is someone to look for.

Rohit Sharma made this tweet in December 2011 in which he wrote, “Just got done with BCCI awards here in chennai..some exciting cricketers coming up..Suryakumar yadav from Mumbai to watch out for in future!”

Suryakumar Yadav and the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma play for the same team Mumbai Indians in the IPL as well. Hitman is the most successful IPL skipper as Mumbai Indians has won the league 5 times under his leadership and SKY has also played an important role in these wins.

Hopefully, Suryakumar Yadav will repeat this performance in the T20 World Cup as well.
