The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 started yesterday with New Zealand emerging victorious in the first match of the tournament which it played against England and it was certainly a great start to the tournament.
Just before the match, the legendary former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who is also the global ambassador of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 walked in the ground with the majestic World Cup trophy and put it on the podium.
Till now, many former cricketers and cricket experts have made their predictions regarding the teams that will be the top four of the tournament and recently, Sachin Tendulkar also made a prediction in this regard.
In Sachin Tendulkar’s opinion, the Indian cricket team is the most favorite to win the World Cup considering the fact that it has performed pretty well in the recent times and it has a strong team as well. Australia stands second in Little Master’s list as it has a reputation of performing well consistently at international level, England is on the third ranking because of its strong squad and New Zealand is at the fourth position as it has a reputation of proving people wrong.
There are very few former cricketers who included New Zealand in the top four but after watching brilliant performance of the Kiwis against England in the first match of the tournament, it won’t be wrong to say that the New Zealand cricketers are the dark horses who have the capability to win the World Cup.
India will start its campaign on 8 October against Australia at Chennai and hopes of Indian fans are pretty high.
