Sakshi and MS Dhoni’s love story seems right out of a fairy tale. The couple apparently met and started dating back in 2008, when Sakshi was interning at a major 5 star hotel.
However, both Sakshi and Mahi have been quite secretive about their relationship, and before they got married in 2010, we only had to rely on speculations from the media about their hush hush romance.
Their relationship gained more prominence in the year 2016, when a biopic was released on Dhoni’s life and journey, titled “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, where Dhoni was portrayed by Sushant Singh Rajput. The film was the first time we actually got insight into how Dhoni and Sakshi met and how their love story evolved.
Sakshi turned 30 very recently, and a gala celebration was held in her honour. The media in the past few days have been filled with fun pictures of the happy couple and all the celebrities who attended the event.
There have been many viral videos from the party, which includes Hardik Pandya declaring his neverending love and loyalty for Dhoni. Yet, there is one news which stunned the world. In a post on Instagram, Sakshi shared a picture of herself with Sheethal and Robin Uthappa and wrote that he was the reason why Mahi and she started dating in the first place. Check it out:
She wrote in the caption of the picture, “Thanks to this man here Mahi n i r together!!! It was great meeting u Robbie and Sheethal … Thank u guys for coming and lot’s of cuddles to the lil one ! And Sheethal you looking HoT as ever! And just to clear out to people mahi n r not childhood friends n first time i stepped into Ranchi was after marriage”
Well, that clears up a lot. Contrary to popular belief, Mahi and Sakshi were not childhood sweethearts! Instead, they met in 2008, and Robin clearly had something to do with it.
