How Salman Khan Prepared Himself For Sultan’s ‘Paunch’ Scene Will Make You His Fan

Salman Khan’s Sultan is widely appreciated ever since it hit the screens and as expected, the movie is running successfully with significant Box Office collections. But if you think it was just like any other movie for bhaijaan, let’s just tell you that Salman had to prepare a lot for the crucial ‘paunch’ scene in which he’s standing in front of a mirror with tears in eyes, beholding his paunch. It was indeed surprising for Sallu’s fans to see him in that weird shape but at one fell swoop, it’s creditable on Salman’s part that he didn’t hesitate from doing it, as it was demand of the script. However, he had not been mentally prepared for it and it took Ali Abbas 3 long months for preparing Sallu for this scene.

Sultan’s director disclosed in a recent interview that Sallu was supposed to make peace with himself for enacting that crucial scene that portrays the stage when Sultan felt beaten. The scene was to be shot in Karjat in Sultan’s first schedule; however, it was postponed because the actor wasn’t prepared for it. The scene demanded weight gain which left Salman worried if he couldn’t shed kilos again to get that shape back.

The director went on to divulge details of the day when they were able to shoot the scene at last, saying that the actor scrupulously exercised continuously for 4 hrs prior to shoot. As per Ali Abbas, Salman did so in order to counteract his consciousness and not spoke a word to anybody on the set, leaving him numb after the shot!
