We are talking about none other than very famous Pak actors Rabi Pirzada and Naseem Vicky who are working together in an Urdu movie and as per reports, its shooting will start shortly. It was at Lahore Press Club that they announced about the film in front of mediapersons. The title and the cast of the movie have not been finalized yet. With this project, the two actors are aimed at reviving Lahore’s film industry that is gradually declining and which used to be an important part of entertainment in Pak once upon a time. What’s more, they want an increase in local cinema’s viewership in Pakistan.

According to actor and singer Pirzada, the country is preferring Indian movies to those of Pak’s which is slowly destroying the youth of the nation and as a result, they are overlooking traditions and culture of Pakistan. In her words,

“Every other film released in Bollywood happens to be about crime or some criminal activities, especially films of Salman Khan. My question is, what are Indian film-makers teaching the youth? It seems like they are just promoting crime. There was a time when Pakistani cinema was at its peak, making films with moral lessons and plots highlighting social ethics. We were educating the society through our films but Bollywood has changed all of that.”

As per her, the same is the reason of her collaborating with Naseem. She added,

“We decided we will produce a story that carries a special lesson for Pakistani children. There is no shortage of talent in our country. Naseem is writing the script of this film himself and soon, the cast will be finalised as well.”

Naseem Vicky completely agreed with Rabi and said that there was a time when Lollywood had been simply amazing and had produced several wonderful movies as well as actors. It has witnessed a collapse in past few decades; however, it’s high time that a socially-aware movie is made as the industry is utterly changed now. He said,

“The revival of our film industry has started and Rabi and I wish it to flourish here in Lahore once again. There is a dire need for us to produce films that attract viewers and that is what we will try our best to do with our joint venture. We will try to bring the audience back to cinema. You see, while Lollywood might have come alive again, it is still yet to produce a feature film that sheds light on the Pakistani identity. I am hopeful that in the coming months, Lahore will become the hub of local film-making again.”
