Sandeep Reddy Vanga Reacts To The Tweets Made By Animal Team To Those Who Slammed The Movie

Sandeep Reddy Vanga directed “Animal” is one of the biggest blockbusters of the year 2023 as the movie earned Rs. 900 crore worldwide but this Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer also got slammed a lot as many called this movie toxic and problematic. Even many Bollywood celebs slammed “Animal” for insulting the women in the film as there was a scene in which Ranbir asks Tripti Dimri to lick his shoe.

The famous lyricist Javed Akhtar referred to the movie as dangerous for the society and even Kangana Ranaut slammed the film and the director for promoting violence against women.

While the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga tried his best to defend his movie, the X (formerly Twitter) handle which was titled as @AnimalTheFilm also left no stone unturned in dealing with the criticism in a strong manner. Many people felt that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is handling this account but recently during an interview, he clarified that he is not operating that account as there are many enthusiasts in his team who are doing this job.

He said that though he is not operating that handle yet he knows the tweets that went out from that handle and the boys were really energetic in sending the messages. However, he admitted that he felt that the tweet that was made for Swanand Kirkire was not needed and it went a little far but as it was on the funny side, it was fine.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga said that the handle was made for the purpose of promotions, publicity and sharing movie posters with the public and he has no idea as to when it was converted into a handle used for slamming critics. The director further said that the boys felt that they should send a reply and how he can stop them.

The “Kabir Singh” fame director further said to the interviewer that he can check his phone if he wants as there is his Twitter account and not the movie account. He said that people believe that he made tweets from the handle and he had also been abused for it but he is fine with it.

Swanand Kirkire, the famous lyricist, singer and actor slammed the movie “Animal” in a series of tweets in which he talked about the glorious phase of Indian cinema in which movies talked about the rights of women. He added that he really feels pity for the women of today’s generation as a new type of man is being created who is fearsome, doesn’t respect women and feels proud in suppressing women.

In response, the movie handle of Animal tweeted, “Do not let your knees fall ahead of your toes or cave in towards each other. Keep feet shoulder-width apart to maintain a good base of support for balance. Land softly on the balls of the feet to help absorb the force of the landing. Yes…. now it landed perfectly @swanandkirkire”.
