Kolkata Knight Riders had a great celebration yesterday at the M.A. Chidambaram stadium, Chennai as they lifted the IPL trophy for the third time after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets.
KKR ended the league phase as the table toppers after winning 9 out of 14 matches. At one fell swoop, it won’t be wrong to say that the Kolkata team played dominating cricket and they certainly deserved to win the title.
The owners of the team, Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta were also present on this occasion and they too celebrated with the team and the support staff. While getting clicked with the trophy, SRK asked everyone to blow a kiss to the camera and this left everyone in splits.

If you are not aware, let us tell you that in the month of April, KKR bowler Harshit Rana was suspended and his 100 percent match fee was fined as well because he was found guilty of breaching the IPL code of conduct. This punishment was given to him after he gave a kiss farewell to the SRH batter Mayank Agarwal in one of the league matches.

As far as the final match is concerned, the SRH batters put up a lackluster show as the whole team got out at the score of 113 runs which is the lowest ever total in the IPL final and with this, SRH also became the first team to get all out in the finals.
7 batters of SRH were not able to touch the double digit mark and the highest scorer for SRH was skipper Pat Cummins who scored 24 runs for which he played 19 balls and his innings included 2 fours & 1 six.
In response, KKR played well despite losing Sunil Narine at the score of 6 runs as Rahmanullah Gurbaz (39 runs, 32 balls, 5 fours & 2 sixes) and Venkatesh Iyer (52 runs, 26 balls, 4 fours & 3 sixes) helped their team in winning the match in 10.3 overs.
