Sheldon told the little girl that her video made his day and also apologized for not being able to find the tweet earlier. Sheldon wrote, “Sorry Jiya I couldn’t find this tweet earlier. Just wanted to say you light up my day.”

Apart from being a good player, 31 years old Sheldon Cottrell is also a good human being as he remembered that he talked to the same family six months ago and this family from Chennai was having problem due to no work amid the coronavirus lockdown. Jiya’s family is in wedding business but no weddings took place during the lockdown.

Sheldon tweeted, “6 months ago you told me about the situation of your family working in Chennai in the wedding industry with no weddings. Forget cricket for a minute. I pray things are improving and if not – what can we do to support?”
