ShopClues has gradually built a powerful business and at the present time, it’s a reputed firm with a good number of customers. However, things don’t seem to go well between its founders. It was in the year 2011 that Sandeep Aggarwal, Radhika Aggarwal (Sandeep’s wife) and Sandeep Sethi laid the foundation of the company.
Sandeep started one more venture called Droom in 2014 and became a consultant with the firm he founded earlier. However, it appears as if he’s ousted from ShopClues.
But why? Well, his only fault was that he publicly expressed his extreme rage for the wife and accused her of removing his right to vote in addition to having an affair outside marriage. Furthermore, he revealed that she foully exaggerated her experience as well as skills in her resume.
Sandeep took to Facebook and poured out all his feelings and emotions in a series of posts. As per him, it was he who handled maximum work of ShopClues but all the credit was taken by Radhika who is controlling the firm presently.
He begins with raising questions on her qualification prior to beginning ShopClues. As per him, she started her career as an entry level Business Analyst and now Radhika has listed the same as supreme experience with a chief brand. Her LinkedIn page shows her work profile as “Strategic Planning” at Nordstrom. It’s claimed by her that she’s a Stanford graduate; however, she has just attended classes for a couple of hours, paying a fee of $550. According to her LinkedIn, she has done Web 2.0 and Creative Writing course in the year 2008 from Stanford.
Subsequently, Sandeep raises questions on Radhika’s contribution in the company. As per him, she visited India during the summer to spend time with her parents but now she claimed that this was the time when she set up the office in the country.
He went on to say that he did all the required things to run the business and Radhika just helped him and that too, unwillingly. What’s more, she did not have an idea of “when, where or how to assist”. And his tone turned serious when he said that she changed his rights of voting at the firm “fraudulently” for removing him from ShopClues.
Not only this, we can easily observe a rift in their marital relationship when the man says “..illicit love affair with One’s own boss while husband is away dealing with biggest family crisis.” In the year 2013, he was detained for insider trading in the United States and ShopClues was handled by Radhika along with other co-founders.
His pain and aggression are clearly apparent when he sees his wife taking all the credit for making ShopClues a successful company because it was he who devoted and contributed, bringing it to the position on which it is today.
As far as Radhika’s take on the matter is concerned, she constantly said that the efforts of a group have given ShopClues the heights and “ShopClues was never a one-man show”. When her husband was in police custody, she and other founders worked hard to make certain that Sandeep’s arrest didn’t have an impact on the firm.
