Sikh Sevak From Golden Temple To Send 100,000 Food Packets to Earthquake Hit-Nepal

The seva culture in Sikh community is always in support for the people in humanitarian ground. So, when Earthquake hit Nepal and caused havoc in the livelihood, the head Sikh body Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to send 100,000 food packets for the victims.

The food packets will be prepared from Guru Ramdas Langar (community kitchen) in Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) for the earthquake affected people of Nepal. The president of the SGPC said, the food has started to be prepared. And we have already made more than 20,000 packets , which have been dispatched through the aeroplane of the Indian army.

The SGPC has also requested the Deputy Commissioner of Sri Amritsar to help with humanitarian aid.

This is actually the time when we should show our love and support to people of Nepal.
