I am sure you must be wondering as to what is this; let me tell you that it is a special train, which is decorated with festoons, diyas and rangolis. The train looks beautiful and all its decorations and designs are inspired from the Little India area of Singapore. The adornments also include a peacock, lotus and Indian jewelry, which are obviously symbols of prosperity and good luck.

Khaw Boon Wan, the Singapore Minister for Transport launched this train and it would run till mid-November on the NEL i.e. North East Line. Not only the trains, but even the platforms and surrounding roads have this Diwali theme.

LTA has also collaborated with LISHA i.e. Little India Shopkeepers And Heritage Association to make this initiative a success!
