Smriti Irani Slammed On Social Media For Inhuman Behavior While Cops Say Something Else - RVCJ Media

Smriti Irani, the Union HRD minister is in controversy again and this time it is because of a road accident which involves the convoy of the minister and took place on Yamuna Expressway. An FIR has been filed on Monday which says that the minister didn’t help the road accident victim, despite his daughter asked for help with “folded hands”.

On Saturday night, Dr. Ramesh Nagar was riding a motorbike with his 12 yr daughter and a nine year nephew when a Honda city sedan hit them on the Yamuna Expressway. The family members of the doctor are alleging that the Honda city was a part of minister’s convoy while the local police and Irani’s office are saying that Honda city car was not a part of the minister’s convoy.

Smriti’s car also got hit but she didn’t get hurt. The minister was coming back to Delhi from Vrindavan, where she went for taking part in a meeting of BJP’s young wing. She explained the situation and her efforts of helping the victims in a series of tweets:

The eye-witness Manoj Chopra stated that Smriti’s convoy crashed into the vehicles which were piled up due to the accident and she, “came out of her car and immediately made calls for help. And within 10 minutes an ambulance arrived,” while the police official Rakesh Yadav also confirmed “Smriti Irani’s convoy had reached accident spot 7-8 minutes after the accident, in which one person died and two were injured.”

However, the daughter of Doctor told this to a news daily, “She chose not to pay heed to our pleas and sat in her car before moving away. Had she (Irani) helped us, my father would have been alive today.”

Doctor was hit by another car after he was hit by the Honda city, as his daughter told, “My father attempted to get up but was struck again. He did not rise after that.” She further went to accuse the doctors and officials of Mathura District Hospital for not providing proper treatment to her father.

The Doctor’s son, Abhishek Nagar also made the same claim as he said, “My sister literally pleaded with folded hands to Smriti Irani for help, but she did not stop.”

Abhishek lodged a complaint against the driver of the vehicle and the FIR reads, “The driver of the car fled while the minister, Smriti Irani, without paying any attention to children lying injured, sat in her car and moved away.”

However, the local police have stated, “The Honda City involved in accident with the motorcycle of a doctor was not from the minister’s cavalcade that reached the spot a little while after the accident,” and that Honda city which hit the doctor was also thrashed by two cars and an ambulance.

SP (Mathura rural), Arun Kumar Singh has disclosed that the Honda City car is in the name of Delhi based Man Arora’s daughter Dimple and he further said, “The driver, believed to be a woman, fled from the spot.”

Earlier, BJP MP Hema Malini also faced criticism for not helping the accident victims who were hit by her car and a four year old girl lost her life.

Twitter has criticized the HRD Minister for being insensitive and inhuman:
