Very soon, you won’t need to visit any mobile store or Jio store for purchasing a Jio SIM card as Snapdeal is going to deliver it at your home.
Yes, you read it right! The e-commerce firm will deliver Jio SIM cards under ‘Happy New Year Offer’, according to which the telecom operator is providing free voice calls and data, free SMS and free Jio Apps subscription till March 31st, 2017.
As per Gadgets 360, the webpage regarding Reliance Jio SIM home delivery service says that buyers will need to get registered themselves by providing contact details and delivery location since this service will be available in some selected areas in the beginning. The buyers can also select the timings during which they want the SIM card to be delivered.
People who want the Jio SIM card to be delivered to them will receive an SMS with the promocode and tentative time of delivery. When the Snapdeal executive will visit them with the Jio SIM card, then the buyer will need to share their Aadhaar number and promocode and the executive will activate the SIM card at that time only.
As of now, Snapdeal is selling Reliance Digital’s Lyf series smartphones and JioFi range of pocket routers through its website but not the SIM cards and till now, no official announcement has been made regarding this matter.
A pilot program is already being conducted by Reliance Jio in which SIM cards are being delivered to the buyer’s house. This service is available in Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi NCR and Hyderabad. The whole exercise is invite-based in which the customers also pass on the invites to other individuals. Presently the target of Reliance is to deliver a SIM card to a customer within 30 minutes.
