Dressing room controversies seem to have been increased in the Champions Trophy 2017. Things have turned sour between Virat Kohli, the Indian Cricket team and Anil Kumble, the coach. There are rumors that of rift between the two because of Kuldeep Yadav’s selection in the team.
While Kohli was against Kuldeep’s inclusion in the team, Kumble went ahead and involved him in the match.
Looks as if things have turned even worse. On Tuesday evening, a cold war was seen between Kumble and Kohli, during the warm up session. As soon as Kumble arrived there, Virat Kohli walked out of the nets. There was no verbal spat, but this gesture was enough to show the rivalry.
We really don’t know who is wrong here; as per reports, BCCI officials are disappointed with Kumble because he frequently demands pay hike for himself as well as the team.
Do you think, it’s just due to the selection of Kuldeep Yadav that the relation between the two has become so bitter? Is there any other reason behind it?
On this, Sunil Gavaskar says that differences between the coach and the captain are very common and that media shouldn’t hype this matter. On the other hand, Harbhajan Singh has extended support to Kumble, by calling him a man of respect.
We seriously hope that things turn normal between Kumble and Kohli, as they are 2 important people of the Indian team. Without their strong bonding, the Indian team won’t be able to perform so well, don’t you think so?
