We’ve been greatly inclined towards cricket for many years and players of other sports have got very less support. Still, with the help of self-motivation, they have managed to make India proud.
Among all these shining names, one name is of Sakshi Malik who made us proud by being the first-ever Indian female wrestler to grab a medal at RIO Olympics 2016. Her performance was later celebrated by the nation which encouraged other players too.
It was the first anniversary of her medal winning yesterday, so Sakshi took to Twitter and shared the beautiful memory with her followers. She tweeted-

This was such a beautiful tweet and received a warm response from her followers. However, soon a senior sports journalist Sukhwant Basra tweeted something that worked as a mood spoiler.
He tried to belittle the achievement of Sakshi by posting a tweet which meant she was going overboard about her achievement. In the tweet, Sukhwant also made her comparison with India’s shooting athlete Abhinav Bindra.

Well, this was not good to speak like this on Sukhwant’s part. An achievement of this scale should be appreciated, especially when it comes after very little support from others. Sakshi Malik is indeed a shining star of our country and we are super proud of her. Cheers!
