In an exclusive interview with India Today, Dr Vijay Suryavanshi revealed that their team will seek a legal opinion from state administration to fight a legal battle against Shah Rukh Khan and others, in higher court, most probably, Bombay High Court.

SRK has been alleged for violating the Environmental Act and CRZ rules while constructing his bungalow at Alibag. It is being said that the land where the construction has been done was actually allocated for farming.

Dr Vijay Suryavanshi said-

“In 2015, the local administration at Alibag had filed a First Information Report (FIR) in police station against Shah Rukh Khan for violating CRZ rules, etc. Action was taken by local officers, but subsequently, he managed to get a stay order against our action from the local court”.

The collector decided to take the action against SRK after India Today exposed how he has allegedly misused Section 63 of Bombay Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act and how Costal Regulatory Zones (CRZ) rules were violated while he constructed the super-luxury bungalow, instead of repairment of old farm-huts.

Along with SRK, another 85 entities/individuals are in trouble for illegal construction and the collector said the action will be taken against everyone which includes many big corporate names, Bollywood celebrities, sportsmen and politicians.
