Sushant Singh Rajput was more than just a talented actor, he was a dreamer who rose from humble beginnings to becoming one of the most loved stars of Bollywood. Known for films like Kai Po Che, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Chhichhore, Sushant’s brilliance, curiosity and quiet charm made him stand apart. His sudden de*th in June 2020 shocked an entire nation, leaving behind unanswered questions and a lingering sense of loss.

Now, nearly five years later, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has reignited public discussion by sharing fresh claims about the circumstances of his d*mise. In a recent interview, Shweta said she still does not believe that her brother took his own life. She revealed that two psychics, one from the United States and another from Mumbai, told her that Sushant had been m*rdered by two people.
Shweta explained that certain details surrounding the scene never made sense to her. She questioned how a suicide could have been possible, given the distance between the bed and the ceiling fan in his room. She said there was no stool or object that could have been used to climb and that the marks on his body did not appear consistent with what one would expect from a fabric like a dupatta. These inconsistencies, she believes, point toward something more sinister.

According to Shweta, soon after Sushant’s de*th, she was contacted by an American acquaintance whose godmother is a psychic and often enters deep meditative trances. The woman, who had no prior knowledge of Sushant or his family, reportedly said that he had been ki*led by two people. Later, a second psychic from Mumbai independently reached out to Shweta, giving her a similar account. For Shweta, the fact that both the individuals, unknown to each other and to her, described the same version of events which was deeply unsettling and seemed too coincidental to ignore.
Her statements stand in contrast to the official conclusions drawn by multiple investigating agencies. Following Sushant’s de*th, the Mumbai Police, Enforcement Directorate (ED), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) each conducted separate probes. All these agencies ruled out foul play, with the CBI ultimately concluding that there was no evidence to suggest that Sushant had been coerced, confined or driven to suicide by anyone, including his then-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. The report also clarified that there were no financial irregularities, noting that Sushant had considered Rhea part of his family.

Despite this, Sushant’s family continues to reject the official findings. Their lawyer Varun Singh dismissed the CBI’s closure report as inadequate, calling it an eyewash. He argued that if the agency had truly sought the truth, it would have made all supporting documents public, from chat records and witness statements to medical reports. The family, he confirmed, plans to file a protest petition against what they believe was an incomplete and unsatisfactory investigation.
As years pass, the mystery surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput’s de*th continues to haunt those who admired him. For his sister Shweta, it is not just a fight for justice but also for closure, a search for answers that, even after five years, remain heartbreakingly unresolved.
