The Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty who is also an actress by profession got married on January 23 in the presence of their respective family members, relatives and friends.
The wedding ceremony took place on Suniel Shetty’s farm house in Khandala and the “Hera Pheri” actor told mediapersons that they are planning the wedding reception after the IPL 2023 gets over.
Though KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty have been dating each other for some time, they have always remained tight-lipped about their relationship but now they are officially a couple and they have got some really expensive gifts from their loved ones on this special occasion.
According to reports, the proud father of the bride, Suniel Shetty has gifted the newlywed couple a luxurious apartment in Mumbai which is said to be worth Rs. 50 crore.
Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff share a good bond with Suniel Shetty and on the wedding, while Salman has gifted Athiya an Audi car worth Rs. 1.64 crore, Jackie Shroff has presented her a watch of Rs. 30 lakh from Chopard Watches.
Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor who has worked with Athiya Shetty in “Mubarakan” is a good friend of the actress and he has gifted her diamond bracelet worth Rs. 1.5 crore.
The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli who is a good friend of KL Rahul has gifted him a BMW car costing Rs. 2.17 crore and the former skipper of the Indian cricket team, MS Dhoni has gifted him a Kawasaki Ninja bike worth Rs. 80 lakh.
Suniel Shetty along with son Ahan Shetty distributed sweets among mediapersons who were waiting outside his Khandala house and told them that though the wedding ceremony was small, everything happened beautifully.
Initially he was a little hesitant in giving an answer to the question regarding wedding reception but later on, he said that they would give reception after the IPL 2023 which will tentatively get over by June 1.
When the actor was quizzed about his new role, he simply stated that he does not want to get into the in-laws complication and for him, a son is coming home and they will welcome KL Rahul as a son.
