The gender disparity is a big problem in India and it is visible not just in corporate jobs, politics, etc. but also in sports; however, the good thing is that it is slowly diminishing in some sports including cricket.
Nowadays, women sportspersons are also making the country proud by winning the tournaments or by giving exemplary performances in the tournaments.
The Indian women cricket team also made us proud by their superb performance in the Women World Cup but they couldn’t win the trophy as they got defeated by England in the finals by 9 runs. The Indian skipper Mithali Raj has played a great role in bringing the team to this level and that is why, she is also called “Sachin Tendulkar” of Indian women cricket.
Mithali Raj was presented Rs. 1 crore and 600 sq ft. house site by the Telangana government, as per a state government release.
She was felicitated by the Telangana Sports Minister, T Padma Rao who also presented Rs. 25 lakhs to RSR Murthy, the coach of Mithali Raj.
Twitter also reacted over it. Check out some comments:

Seriously 600sft? Or was there a typo error in the news?— Anil Kumar (@anil_2404) December 29, 2017
This is definitely a good gesture and we are sure that it will further boost the morale of Indian women sportspersons.
What do you say?
