Casting Couch has been a severe disease spreading in Bollywood and also South Indian industries for a long time. The actresses used to stay silent earlier but now they are bold enough to speak about it.
Telugu actress Sri Reddy took an arguably bold step against the increasing casting couch recently. The actress stripped herself outside the Movie Artistes Association (MAA)’s office in Hyderabad in order to protest against the problem.
Talking to the media, she told that she has done this act to protest against the producers are bringing heroines from the other states and are ignoring local talent.
Sri Reddy told a leading website-
“The reason is simple. Heroines from other states would go to any extent to satisfy the big people in Tollywood, whereas the local artistes are not so bold.”
Sri Reddy also accused movie artistes’ association of denying her a membership just because she questioned the wrong-doings in the film industry. “I will make it a big issue at the national and international level, if my demands are not met.”

Reportedly, the Telugu actress arrived at the MAA office at Film Nagar in the upscale Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad in the afternoon and suddenly started removing her clothes one after the other and then squatted in front of the office half-naked.
She was soon arrested by the police for her obscene act.
