There has been a long time since the talks of Sonam Kapoor and her beau Anand Ahuja’s marriage are going on. The couple and everyone related to them was tight-lipped but there were strong reports that they will get married to each other in May 2018.
An official statement by the Kapoor and Ahuja family was finally made recently in which they announced the date of the wedding. In the same statement, they also requested media to request their privacy. It read as-
“The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
Meanwhile, the wedding preparations are going on in full swing. Even though Sonam has not passed the idea of destination wedding considering it is wastage of money, the couple will have a stunning wedding and pre-wedding functions in Mumbai.
The nights will be starry as whole film fraternity will be attending the special event of elite Kapoor family.
Meanwhile, the pictures of Sonam and Anand’s wedding cards are out on the Internet and are giving quite an easy breezy look. The wedding cards look simple yet classy and reflect the summer wedding theme.
The wedding cards are actually the e-invitations. Sonam and Anand have opted for the idea to go paperless because they also want to be eco-friendly.
Along with the wedding cards, the details are also out. The invitations have been sent to the guests for three functions i.e Mehndi, Wedding and Party. There are dress codes for all the events.
For Mehndi, the dress code is Indian festive shades of white, Indian Traditional for wedding and Indian or Western formal for the party. Reportedly, car stickers have also be sent out to ensure no one gatecrashes.
